December 2020 Release

Last updated : 09/12/2020

Release date: 19th September 2020

This release focused on building core functionality ready for future releases of the Exchange Server Sync and the Bulk Merge tool, but does include a couple of other features.

Column Widths on Form Layouts

You can now adjust the look and feel of your record layouts even more using column width ratios. This can be configured on any Form Layout Section with 2 or more columns:

Here’s an example

Faster Navigation

Last release we added the ‘hamburger’ button to give you a faster way to move between Tabs. We’ve now enhanced it even further – double-clicking on the hamburger button will take you straight back to the Main tab of the record.

Coming Soon – Exchange Server Sync Upgrade

This release contains updates to Workbooks that provide the groundwork for a new update to the Workbooks Exchange Server Synchronisation (WESS) that is coming in the new year. The changes aren’t visible in Workbooks, but will allow for new WESS functionality:

  • Synchronisation of Meeting attendees;
  • Meetings will show in the calendar of any User attending the Meeting, not just the one that the Meeting is assigned to;
  • Customisation of the cards that show in the Outlook Add-In.

We’ll remind you again when this functionality becomes available.

Coming Soon – Bulk Merge and Data Quality Tool

You may have already heard that we are building an integration with DQ Global which will allow you to clean up your duplicate data en masse. This function is coming next year, but until then, our engineers have been working hard on enhancing our Merge functionality to support it.

Some other small changes…

  • Watch button is now available on dashboards.
  • Bug fixes in the Merge functionality.
